Andrew Nethsingha appointed Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey

Congratulations to Andrew Nethsingha who has been appointed Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey. He is currently the Director of Music at the Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge, where he has been since 2007.

Nethsingha’s tenure at St John’s has seen the introduction of weekly webcasts, a termly Bach cantata series, and last year the admission of girls and women as full members to The Choir of St John’s – making it the only Oxbridge choir to have both male and female members among the children and the students.

Andrew appeared on the Thoroughly Good Classical Music Podcast in 2019 discussing his career, the educational impact of Cambridge music making, and the choir’s then new release on Signum Records, ‘Locus Iste’.
